About the Role
Reporting to the Community Services Manager, the position will be responsible for driving the water truck, loading and delivering water to community customers as per the schedule. The driver is responsible for adhering to safe water delivery protocols. Will also provide coverage to operate other equipment and perform other tasks, as needed.
What You Will Do
- Loads, transports and unloads water to community customers as per the schedule.
- Driver must have EOCP Certification (Bulk Water Delivery Course) and must follow legislated safe
- water delivery protocols.
What You Bring
- An in-depth understanding and deep appreciation for Indigenous People and their history, culture, traditions, and languages.
- A strong desire to uplift and support our community.
- Experience working in an Indigenous northern community is an asset.
- Class 5 license with air brake endorsement
- EOCP Certification (Bulk Water Delivery Course) and follow legislated safe water delivery protocols
- Adaptable to respond to call outs in emergency situations
What We Offer
- $36.57 - $54.85 per hour (Based on education and experience)
- 80 hours biweekly (some guidelines will apply)
- 4% Northern Community Remoteness Allowance for employees residing in Old Crow full-time
- 4% Northern Travel Allowance for employees residing in Old Crow full-time
- 4 weeks vacation to start plus two weeks paid time off over the Christmas season

- 10 days sick pay per year
- 10 days paid special/personal leave per year

Heritage Interpreter
The Heritage Interpreter provides visitor services at John Tizya Centre (JTC), organizing presentations, providing tours, creating exhibits and programs, researching and collecting exhibit materials and maintenance of exhibits. Community Mental Wellness and Addictions Outreach Worker
The Community Mental Wellness and Addictions Outreach Worker provides support and advocacy services to citizens struggling with mental health and/or addictions. The position reports to the Mental Wellness and Addictions Manager and the position will assist in the development of sustainable harm reduction strategies for Old Crow and Whitehorse. The position will be primarily based in Old Crow. Some of the responsibilities include but are not limited to;
