About the Role

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to staff within the organization. This role ensures the smooth operation of the organization's IT infrastructure by troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.

What You Will Do
  • Provide first-level support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Monitor and manage IT support tickets, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Assist in the setup and deployment of new equipment and software.
  • Perform regular system maintenance and updates.
  • Document support processes and issue resolutions.
  • Provide training and support to users on IT systems and applications.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
  • Proven experience in IT support or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Experience with IT support tools and ticketing systems.
  • Understanding of IT security principles and practices.
  • Basic IT training/ certification or willing to learn. 
What We Offer 
  • $ 54.85 -$67.04 per hour/per annum (Based on education and experience)
  • Flexible Work Hours: Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation offers flexible working hours. Employees may choose to work 65, 70, 75, or 80 hours biweekly (some guidelines will apply)
  • 4% Northern Community Remoteness Allowance for employees residing in Old Crow full-time 
  • 4% Northern Travel Allowance for employees residing in Old Crow full-time
  • 4 weeks vacation to start plus two weeks paid time off over the Christmas season 
  • A very healthy extended benefits package
  • 10 days sick pay per year
  • 10 days paid special/personal leave per year
